Extra-ordinary acts of loving kindness

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • They are Extra-ordinary Acts of Loving Kindness.

We’re working on the assumption that folks who join this challenge are already doing good in the world every single day. So this isn’t about things you’d be doing anyway. It’s about intentionally creating a new and consistent practice of loving kindness, a step beyond what you might normally do, hence the “extra.”

The acts themselves don’t have to be extraordinary… there’s no expectation of moving mountains, here! You can keep it simple, yet know there are no limits.

Checkout our homepage for some ideas across six categories: action, advocacy, care, connection, creativity, dialogue and investment… We can’t wait to see and share your EALK!!

  • The objective is to create collective impact, and individual attribution isn’t a priority. Of course, we hope you find your experience meaningful and inspiring, and invite you to share your loving kindness stories with your family, friends and networks.

  • We can’t draw from an empty well. Self-care is an important part of this challenge.

  • Kindness should be spread far and wide, so please consider anyone and everyone a potential beneficiary. That being said, it is important to acknowledge that 2025 will be particularly challenging for some folks more than others. Let’s offer extra support and care to those who need it most.

  • Heck, yeah! Duh. 😉

  • Honestly, our society wins when people complete the challenge! While we hope that’s reward enough, we plan to cook up fun surprises along the way.
